Over the past couple week the weather has been very warm. A lot of the fish that for the most part are dormant during the cooler months are waking up and are very hungry! The past ten days I have seen the first of the top-water plug action of the year. In less than one week's time customers have boated three Snook over 15lbs and one over 30lbs. We have also seen a lot of rainfall in the past couple weeks which has done wonders for raising up the low water level in the Indian River. The baitfish are abound all over the area grass flats and the fish are feeding heavy on it. Top-water plugs are producing very well the first few hours of the morning for Snook, Redfish, Trout and others. Later in the morning we are switching over to Soft Plastics or Gulp shrimp for some great subsurface action. When the wind allows look for large Trout early in the morning with top water plugs around the grass flats surrounding Sebastian. Lots of Snook and Redfish are being caught against the area Mangroves on the same. |
