What Fishing Gear I ProvideAs a guest of Fishful Thinking Guide Service with Capt. Steve Martin you will be supplied with top quality Shimano spinning reels or if you prefer, Shimano bait cast reels mounted on G-Loomis and Shimano Rods. Each reel is filled with Power Pro line. If you prefer your own tackle that is fine also. I will provide you with bottled water and sunscreen to use. I recommended that you bring along a rimmed hat and sunglasses.

Steve is a seasoned professional fishing guide and knows many useful tricks and techniques that will help all customers from the first time angler to the most grisled veteran sportsman.
Things to Bring on Your Indian River Lagoon Charter Fishing Trip
Bring a medium to small cooler for food and drinks. You may need a larger cooler or other container to carry your fish home in. This can stay in your car while you are fishing Indian River Lagoon to save space on the boat. |
A duffle bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, extra tee shirt, hat, and other personal items that you need to bring on an Indian River Lagoon charter fishing trip. |
|
Bring all your food and drinks. The Captain will supply you with bottled water. Remember the Florida sun can get very hot, have plenty of liquids. |
First ask the Captain if you will fish in the rain. If you will be fishing in the rain you may want to bring some lightweight rain gear or foul weather gear. |
|
Bring sun glasses. Preferrably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water. |
Bring a camera to take snapshots of those big red fish you release and better yet bring your video camera to capture the charter fishing action. |
|
Bring a ball cap or a fishing hat to protect you from the intense sun. Remember the water intensifies the suns glare and can cause you to burn much quicker than on land. |
For the same reason you wear your hat on the water you will want plenty of sun screen especially if you easily burn. The suns effects are doubly strong on the water and without sunscreen can cause you to burn very quick. |
|
The Indian River Lagoon and it's tributaries don't get rough but it doesn't have to be rough for some folks to sea sick. The simple rocking of the boat can make some people quesie. If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH". |
